WWE: Every wrestling-themed song from The Rock's career, ranked
While the anticipation of a big fight drives fans to buy tickets to an event, few things impress them more than the arrival of their favorite fighter accompanied by their theme music. From Hulk Hogan's "Real American" to Bryan Danielson's "Final Countdown," a wrestler's theme sets the tone for the character and helps fans figure out who they are before they step into the ring. Whether it's music with ominous tunes, theme music defines fighters without saying anything.

Times of discover News: While the anticipation of a big fight drives fans to buy tickets to an event, few things impress them more than the arrival of their favorite fighter accompanied by their theme music. From Hulk Hogan's "Real American" to Bryan Danielson's "Final Countdown," a wrestler's theme sets the tone for the character and helps fans figure out who they are before they step into the ring. Whether it's music with ominous tunes, theme music defines fighters without saying anything.

One of the most iconic wrestling themes is The Rock's collection throughout his career. Whether it's the Blue Chipper, the Brahma Bull, or the Final Boss, The Rock's theme music sets the tone for his character throughout WWE, as his character changes each time. In all the different roles, his iconic theme music is different so fans know what kind of Rock they're dealing with.

At the peak of the CD, WWE would create a new album each year consisting of accessible tracks from popular wrestlers. Most wrestling fans bring home discs with their favorite entries, but not every CD is certified platinum.

The album Aggression was released in 2000 featuring hip-hop versions of wrestler entries. Method Man sampled The Rock's song, but it didn't match his famous status at the time. The Rock's songs are an iconic part of his persona, and the remix makes no difference to his character. He actively refused to boo the audience during his brief appearance as the theme song.

This may be hard for modern wrestling fans to realize, but there was a time in WWE history when The Rock wasn't the most exciting figure in entertainment. When he came to WWE in 1996, he was far from achieving greatness and was destined to fail from his debut.

The first third-generation wrestler in WWE history, Rocky Maivia, was stuck with a big baby face from the start who smiled awkwardly and hugged all fans. However, fans quickly rejected the ultimate good guy in search of more nuanced characters, making this persona one of WWE's failed projects. Although he initially faltered as the Blue Chipper, Rocky Maivia began to gain some momentum as a character as he became more nuanced and interesting. While Maivia still had a long way to go in his career before becoming The Rock, he had begun to show glimpses of things to come. In early 1997, The Rock lost his Blue Chipper persona and launched a new song called "Destiny". While it still wasn't as impressive as his later intro, it began to show similarities with the Attitude era's most iconic theme music, including the bass line. While The Rock eventually became one of the most famous singles competitors in WWE history, he was once one of the most prolific competitors in the early stages of the Attitude era. After becoming frustrated with the crowd seeing him as a smiling nice guy, he adopts a much tougher and cockier persona named The Rock and joins the group Nation of Domination.

Although the Nation has been largely erased from WWE history due to the racial implications of this gimmick, there's no denying how influential it was during The Rock's formative years. Starting with the rallying entrance "We are the Nation of Domination!" slogan, fans immediately knew the group meant business and were ready for a bloodbath.

The WWE Attitude Era gave birth to some of the biggest stars in professional wrestling history during the company's greatest commercial period. Hosting some of the biggest celebrities, WWE put up record numbers and became a pop culture phenomenon. Before becoming a true Hollywood star, The Rock was one of WWE's biggest stars during its greatest days.

In full People's Champion mode, The Rock was one of WWE's elite at the main event level. His persona as a courageous warrior, a speaking third person, elevated him to a level of stardom that few fighters could reach, and his theme music, in which he repeated his name over and over again, established him as a character that fans loved to hate.
