Watch Pulp and fans sing Happy Birthday at Jarvis Cocker's second Hollywood Palladium show
Times of discover News: Thursday night was Jarvis Cocker's 61st birthday and he celebrated by performing a show with his band Pulp at the Hollywood Palladium, his second consecutive night at the venue. After opening the show with "I Spy," the rest of the band led the crowd in a traditional version of "Happy Birthday" and brought out a cake. Jarvis blew out the candles and the band immediately joined in for "Disco 2000."
The birthday party also included balloons, which were released at the end of the first encore for "Ordinary People," but the festivities already included "Ordered for E and Wizz," "Babies," "Do You Remember the First Time" and more. ?”, “F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.E.L.E.L.O.V.E.”, “This Is Hardcore,” “Underwear,” and many others. The second encore began with the new song “Spike Island” which has now been played four times in North America, followed by “Miss-Shaped” and ending with the usual “Glory Days.”

After the show, Jarvis shared a photo of his birthday cake, which featured piped frosting with Pulp’s lyrics “Dishes” (“I’m not Jesus, even though my initials are the same”) and “Happy Birthday, Jarvis!”. See also Writing a Quote below.
