Tyga's 2018 summer smash "Taste," featuring Offset, is the first record to be certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America, the RIAA announced on Tuesday (September 24).

Diamond certification is awarded to artists whose songs have sold 10 million units. According to the RIAA, an equivalent song unit is equal to one digital song sale or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams.

"Taste Diamond 10x Platinum... Thank you to everyone who streamed and danced to it," the rapper wrote.

"Get a #taste of your first RIAA Diamond certification! Congrats to @Tyga on this incredible milestone!" the RIAA wrote in response.

Offset was also happy to hear the news. "Man this is a huge deal for me," he wrote in response to a data post about the chart, "Taste" is the lead single from Tyga's 2019 album Legendary, which was released via Last Kings Music and Empire. D.A. which is produced.

Entitled Got That Dope, the single peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the rapper his third top 10 hit on the chart following Chris Brown's "Loyal" in 2014 and "Rack City" in 2012, and hit No. 7 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and maintained Rhythmic Airplay for four weeks.
