Times of discover News: A singer, songwriter and actor who co-wrote some of the most iconic songs of the 1970s, including hits for the Eagles, has died at the age of 78.
J.D. Souther died at his home in New Mexico on Tuesday, Variety reports. No cause of death was given for Souther, who had performed earlier in the day and had autumn tour dates scheduled with fellow '70s singer-songwriter Karla Bonoff.
