Times of discover News: A Jane's Addiction concert in Boston on Friday ended abruptly when singer Perry Farrell suddenly punched guitarist Dave Navarro as the band regrouped to play "Ocean Size."

Several social media users shared video of the incident during the show, in which Farrell can be seen getting angry and yelling "fuck you" at Navarro before punching him in the chest.

The guitarist was clearly confused when the singer pushed and then punched him. "What is all this?" Navarro said, adding that crew members tried to restrain Farrell and removed him from the stage, telling him to "stop." Navarro then took off his guitar strap and walked off, ending the concert.

After the singer was carried off stage, the rest of the band came to Navarro and consoled him, as the audience applauded. The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to representatives for the band, who have not yet spoken publicly about the incident.

However, Farrell's wife, Ettie Lou Farrell, shared her side of the story in a lengthy post on Instagram after the concert. "There was clearly a lot of tension and animosity between the members... that's the magic that made the band such a dynamic," she wrote. "Well, the dynamite was lit. Perry got up in front of Dave and physically examined him." He continued: "Perry's frustration grew as, night after night, he felt the stage was too loud and his voice was drowned out by the band's noise. Perry suffered from tinnitus and a sore throat every night. But when the audience was in the front row and he began cursing at Perry for planning to play too loud and not listen to him, Perry was furious."

AT Lou Farrell explained that the band began playing "Ocean Size" before Farrell was ready and counting, and that he couldn't hear the "bang and vibration" of the instruments, leaving him with just enough volume to hear and he began screaming.

After Farrell tried to stab Navarro, the singer's wife said bassist Eric Avery grabbed Farrell's head and stabbed him three times in the stomach. She said that when a crew member removed Avery, he walked to the front of the stage and apologized to the crowd.

Further in long caption "Perry continued like a rabid animal for the next half hour - ultimately she did not calm down, but broke down and kept crying and sobbing," it wrote. "Eric, he doesn't seem to understand what it means to ease the tension or take advantage of the situation to take a few cheap shots at Perry."
