Kylie Minogue says 'I'm Coldplay's biggest fan', Bond talks to Chris Martin
Times of discover News: Pop icon Kylie Minogue recently sat down for an exclusive interview via Zoom. She discusses working with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, her relationship with Coldplay's Chris Martin, and an emotional message she wrote for him.
"I'm the biggest Coldplay fan. So that's lovely," Kylie told Zoom. "But I think Chris is really saying something when he says I serve the song and I think there are a lot of things in this career you know. There's all the artificiality, all the presentation, and all the weirdness.
But I think probably most of us, if you really like it, you change it for the sake of the song. You just want the song. Everything else revolves around that. If you love music and you're a producer, you want to serve the song. You want to give the song its best chance."
For those who don't know, when the Padam Padam singer was featured on Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in 2024, Martin poured his heart out in an article for the publication.
"Kylie Minogue was one of the first people I met on TV. She's a pop star and I watched her on Neighbours every day for a decade," he said. "On the show, I was a fan of hers for about 15 years."
"[Minogue] is so inspirational to me - she lives her life so fabulously and approaches every project with such passion and dedication," the Yellow singer added.
He added: "She's always 10 years ahead of everyone else and she's an artist who knows how to serve, making songs that fans will love for years to come. Kylie creates an environment where everyone is themselves. She's safe to be in. I see a ray of hope in him. He is proof that some people don't judge others."
