Times of discover News: As the Sean “Diddy” Combs fallout reaches unprecedented depths, it appears some artists are changing the lyrics of their songs to make statements about the disgraced rapper that include his name. The disturbing allegations against Diddy — who was arrested in September 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution — have gotten worse as time goes on.
In early October 2024, attorney Tony Buzbee announced he would represent 120 accusers — 60 men and 60 women — who would be suing Diddy for sexual assault and more.
Some of the alleged crimes date back more than 30 years; some even involve minors. Fame attorney Gloria Allred will represent more women and men who have come forward in lawsuits related to the hip-hop legend. Kesha was the first singer to change the lyrics to Diddy's name, doing so when she performed her song "Tik Tok" with Renée Rapp at Coachella in April 2024.
While the line begins the entire song - "Wake up in the morning and feel like P. Diddy," ("Hey, what's up, girl?" is the answer on the track) - Kesha and Rapp use it in concert, changing it to "Wake up in the morning and feel like 'F*** P. Diddy'," with the two holding each other's fingers while singing the line.
The change comes just a month after the FBI raided Diddy's Los Angeles and Miami homes, and a few months after videos showed the Bad Boy mogul physically assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel lobby in 2016.
Kesha made this change official in mid-September 2024 — the day after Diddy's arrest — by sharing a clip of a newly recorded version of "Tik Tok": "Wake up in the morning, 'F*** 'P. Diddy'."
According to reports, the country star decided not to mention Diddy's name when performing her song "Rich" at the September 2024 Bourbon & Beyond music festival.

"Boy, I'm rich, head to toe Prada/Benz on the street, yacht in the water," the song typically sings. "Vegas at the Mandarin, high rollers playing/Me and Diddy dripping diamonds like Marilyn."
To illustrate his point — and take a page from Kesha's book — Morris uploaded a clip of his performance that night to his Instagram Story and wrote, "F*** Diddy," according to US Weekly.
The Jonas Brothers singer and DNCE frontman dropped a "Cake by the Ocean" reference on Diddy at an October 2024 concert.
Jonas used to sing "Walk for me, baby/I'll be Diddy, you'll be Naomi, woah-oh" as part of the hit's chorus — a reference to the singer's previous "I'll Be Missing You" collaboration with Naomi Campbell that has a romance reference — he changed it at a show in Paris in September 2024.
Fans continue to debate how exactly he changed the song's lyrics — they're supposed to be referring to actress Naomi Watts by saying, "I'll be Watt and you'll be Naomi, woah-oh" — which apparently he didn't. Didi in this stage version.
