Dancing With the Stars spoiler: Dancing Oscar night
Times of discover News: "Dancing With the Stars" Season 33 continues tonight with a tribute to classic cinema on "Oscar Night." So what can we expect from the show? Well, the evening kicked off with professional dancers Britt Stewart and Alan Bernstein performing Richard A. Whiting's choreography included playing and conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra and John Williams' choreographed opening number "Hooray for Hollywood." The 13 celebrity contestants and their pro partners culminated these dances before a shocking double elimination at the end of the night.
- Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola and pro Witney Carson danced to Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone."
- Fashionista and entrepreneur Anna Delvey; Ezra Sosa Fast relived K.T. Tunstall's "Suddenly I See You."
- Joey Graziadei of "The Bachelor" and pro Jenna Johnson will play the rumba to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's "Shallow."
- NBA champion Dwight Howard and pro Daniela Karagach will host the Fox Trot to Ryan Gosling's "City of Stars."
- TV star Chandler Kinney and pro Brandon Armstrong cover Billie Eilish's "What Am I Made For?" He'll sing, but he'll be playing the rumba.
- Olympic rugby star Ilona Maher and pro Alan Bersten sauce Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes in "(I've Had) The Time of My Life."
- Model and cover girl Brooks Nader and pro Gleb Savchenko will soon be in Dolly Parton's "9 to 5."
- Olympic gymnast Stepan Nedorosik and pro Riley Arnold will play the double steps to the Prague City Philharmonic Orchestra's "Superman - Main Theme."
- Gymnast royalty Phaedra Parks and pro Val Chmerkovskiy foxtrot to Jennifer Hudson's "And I'm Telling You It's Not."
- Movie star Eric Roberts and pro Britt Stewart will waltz to Nino Rota and Carlo Savina's "The Godfather Waltz."
- TV icon Tori Spelling and pro Pasha Pashkov will perform "This Is Me" in front of Keala Settle and her group from "The Greatest Showman."
- Jane Tran and pro Sasha Farber from "The Bachelorette" perform "A Small Party That Never Killed Anyone (All We Have)" with Fergie, Q-Tip and GoonRock.
- Sitcom and film actor Reginald VelJohnson and prof. Emma Slater will double step to Beethoven's "Ode to Joy."
Since there is no elimination in the first week of competition, the judges' scores and audience votes from the first week will be combined with the scores and votes from the second week to determine who stays in the competition and who is eliminated. That means, for example, that Roberts and VelJohnson will be working hard after finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard in Week 1, while Kinney and Howard will get some relief after earning the top score in Week 1. But we've certainly seen the best dancers leave the house early if they don't get help from the "DWTS" fans sitting at home. So no one is really for sure. Which routine are you looking forward to the most?
